Jim is drawn to flowers by a legacy of green thumbs dating back generations. Always loved flowers and nature, but the passion comes from his upbringing around mom, who is an “I don’t know how to stop” type of gardener.
… the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree ❀
For him, Suburban Stems represents a combination of personal passion, environmental concerns, creative expression, and the desire to share the beauty and love of flowers with others.
Overflowing with creativity, positivity, and a love for nature, she's always been an outdoors enthusiast. From her early years harvesting tomatoes and figs to her upbringing tending to flowers and vegetables, she's not one to shy away from the "dirty work." She fearlessly digs through compost, combats pests in the leaves, and braves hot, humid weather to harvest with a smile 🌱🌻🌿
Danny is the brain behind Suburban Stems. Growing up in California, Danny fell in love with all that nature has to offer— deserts, seaside forests, redwood wonders, and endless grasslands.
… 20 years later, he is a Ph.D. candidate in physics. His expertise is powering our climate-resilient mission— he is all about sustainable technology, automated farming, and addressing the climate change crisis.

Porkchop was adopted in May 2021 from a local shelter, and has been hard at work providing moral support ever since. Loves to prepare holes for our tubers, bulbs, and seeds. She is a hardcore sun worshipper, and her snores can be heard across the farm at any given moment as she snoozes in the grass.
Farming for cut flowers can be physically exhausting— Porkchop is adored here at Suburban Stems for the quality company that she provides during the daily chores.
